Here is a list of just some of the aquarium fish in the world , I have also add their reqiument 's like food, temperature, tank region minimum number in aquarium and things like that. Well I hope this helps you to choose your next fish at the aquarium store. 

 

Name:Betta splendens    (siamese fighting fish)                                                                   

Temperature: 24-30 degrees Celsius

Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertebrates,

such as daphnia, mosquito larvae and frozen bloodworm

they will also eat pellets, flakes and different vegetable such as peas.

Minimum number in a aquarium: Single male

Minimum tank size: 1 gallon

Tank Region: Top

facts about the fish: Never house 2 males together

 

 

Name: Neon Tetra

temperature:20-26 degrees Celsius

Food: Tiny live or frozen aquatic invertebrates such as daphnia,

mosquito larvae, frozen bloodworms and flakes. provide a varied

diet to maintain the colours of the fish.

Minimum number in a aquarium: A shoal of at least 6 and preferably ten fish

as the fish are schooling fish

Minimum tank size: 60cm (24in)

Facts about the fish: never keep these with long finned fish as they

are known to be nippers

 

 

Name: Platy

Temperature: 21-25 degrees Celsius

Food: small live or frozen aquatic invertebrates, such as daphnia, mosquito larvae,

bloodworm, green foods and flake. provide a varied diet to maintain the colours of the fish

Minimum number in aquarium: one pair

Minimum tank size:45cm (18in)

Tank Region: Mid to upper

Facts about the fish: always have a spare tank for fry as they breed just about every month.

 

 

Name: Coolie Loach

Temperature: 24-28 degrees Celsius

Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertebrates, such as daphnia, mosquito larvae,

bloodworm, tablet foods and flakes (once it has fallen to the bottom)

Minimum number in aquarium: 1 (but 2 is better)

Minimum tank size: 60cm (24in)

Tank region: Bottom

facts about the fish: they hide allot during the day and prefer sand as a substrate

 

 

Name:Angel fish

Temperature: 24-28 degrees celcius

Food:Angel fish are greeedy and will eat small live foods,frozen and flake foods

to excess. This can result in early demise. Do not overfeed!!!

Minimum number in aquarium: 3-4

Minimum tank size: 90cm(36in)

Tank region: Midwater

Facts about the fish:they will eat neons so dont keep them with neon tetras

 

 

Name:Dwarf Gourami

Temperature: 22-28 degrees celcius

Food: Small live or frozen  aquatic invertabrates, such as daphania,

Mosquito larvae, bloodworm and flake food

Minimum number in aquarium: one pair

Minimum tank size:45cm (18in)

Tank region:Middle to top.

Facts about fish: do not grow very big

 

 

Name: Bronze corys

Temperature: 22-26 degrees celcius

Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertabrates, such as daphania,

mosquito larvae, bloodworm,flake,tablet and granular food

Minimum number in aquarium: 2

Minimum tank size: 60cm (24in)

Tank region: Bottom

Facts about the fish:Never add salt to the water if you have corys as it will damage the skin

Temperature: 21-28 degrees celcius

Food:Small live or frozen aquatic invertabrates. such as daphania, mosquito larvae,

Facts about the fish: A Mature male will exhibit a good sword

Temperature: 18-28 degrees celcius

Name: Tiger Barb ( puntius tetrtazona)

Temperature: 23-28 degrees celcius

Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertabrates, such as daphania,

mosquito larvae, bloodworm and flakefood

Minimum number in aquarium:5

Minimum tank size:  80cm (32in)
Tank region: Bottom - middle
 

 

 

Name: Flying fox

Temperature:24-26 degrees celcius
Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertebrates, such as daphnia,mosquito larvae,
and bloodworm they also except flakefoods and green foods
Minimum number in aquarium: 1 ( more in a larger tank)
Minimum tank size: 60cm (24in)
Tank region: Bottom to middle

Name: Ram or butterfly cichlid  (Papiliochromis ramirezi)                                                               

Temperature: 27-30 degrees Celsius 

Length:5cm (2in)

Food: Small live or frozen aquatic invertebrates, such as daphnia, mosquito larvae, bloodworm 

they will also except flakes

Minimum number in a aquarium: 2 (keep in pairs)

Minimum tank size: 50 cm(20 in)

Tank Region: middle to top

facts about the fish: this beautiful fish is very colourful 

 

Name: Sailfin molly (poecilia velifera)

Temperature: 25-28 degrees celsius

Length: 15cm (6in)

Food: vegetables and flakes with the occasional treat as this fish are vegetarian

Minimum number in aquarium:1

minimum tank size: 120cm (48in)

Tank region: Middle - top

Facts about the fish: the male of this species has a wonderful tall top fin.

 

Name: Green puffer fish (Tetraodon nigroviridis)

Temperature: 24-28 degrees Celsius

Food: Nutritious live food, eats snails

Minimum number in aquarium: 1

minimum tank size: 100cm (40in)

Tank region: Bottom - Middle

Facts about fish: Often bites, Needs addition of salt to aquarium.
